Cold Transmission Night
Es hat lang gedauert aber endlich ist es soweit. Nach unzähligen Nächten voller Erinnerungen, grossartiger Musik und unvergesslichen Momenten, halten wieder die schwarzen Events Einzug ins Oxil, die wir alle so vermisst haben. Die Pause war lang, aber jetzt ist es an der Zeit, wieder gemeinsam zu feiern, zu tanzen und eine neue Epoche zu starten. Seid dabei bei der Rückkehr der schwarzen Nächte und lasst uns das gebührend zelebrieren.
Crying Vessel
Crying Vessel, led by Slade Templeton (vocals, guitar, synth) and Basil Oberli (drums), has been at the forefront of the goth and post-punk scene revival since 2011. Their music blends darkwave, post-punk, gothic, and synth-pop, creating a unique sound that pays homage to the 80s and 90s while introducing a modern sensibility. With six albums and an upcoming dual-disc seventh album slated for release in 2025 on Cold Transmission Music, Crying Vessel continues to impress.
Their work has earned critical acclaim and recognition, leading to releases on notable labels such as Manic Depression Records, Cleopatra Records, and Cold Transmission Music. Known for their passionate live performances and authentic sound, Crying Vessel has cultivated a devoted following. They skillfully craft a captivating universe through storytelling, connecting visual and sonic elements to create a cohesive experience for their fans.
Lovataraxx
Lovataraxx has been formed out of the blue in 2013, while crossing the Williamsburg bridge during a Spring break. Staring at the grey and pink stripes of the bridge’s structure, the nascent duet decided to deal with a rollercoaster of emotions in his music and lyrics.
Lovataraxx explores the depths of a minimal wave, dark electronic and post-punk music. On stage, the two musicians are surrounded by corrosive synthesizers, sharp drum machines and a bass drowned in chorus effects. Straddling both eighties and nineties influences, Lovataraxx’s esthetic is nurtured by greek mythology, sci-fi- K.Dick – like novels, and romantic poetry. Enchanting voices, Carpenter’s like synth melodies : it all sounds simulaneously strange and familiar, it all fluctuates between the delusive feelings of the blind hunky-dory days and the long despairs of a lost generation.
The audience dance, galvanized by the stage presence of a front woman with her boxer’s braids, switching from english to german language on high speed beats. The duet plays often live with a Vjay sending loop figures in his old TV screens. Lovataraxx’s second LP named « Sophomore » was released on the German label Cold Transmission Music in April 2024.
Oliver Decrow
Oliver Decrow’s music thrives on bass-driven synths. Drawing inspiration from bands such as Beta Evers, Boan, Boy Harsher, Buzz Kull, Joy Division, and The Cure, he creates tracks with minimal and carefully selected sounds combined with poetic vocals. Deep basslines, looping synthesizer sounds, and 80s drum machine samples converge to create an immersive sonic experience. During his live performances, Oliver Decrow passionately delivers his vocals while playing keys, infusing his shows with energy and authenticity.
