tasy</a></p><p><strong>KMFDM</strong> (originally Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mit
leid\, loosely translated by the band as "no pity for the majority”) is a m
ultinational industrial band from Hamburg\, Germany\, led by Sascha Konietz
ko\, who founded the band in 1984 as a performance art project in Paris\, F
rance.</p><p>The band's earliest albums were recorded in Germany before the
y moved to the United States\, where they found much greater success with s
eminal record label Wax Trax! out of Chicago. Throughout the 90’s KMFDM con
stantly evolved with a revolving door line-up\, becoming a household name i
n the US music scene. Their 1995 hit “Juke Joint Jezebel” catapulted KMFDM
into the Billboard charts and got them onto many movie soundtracks\, notabl
y Bad Boys and Mortal Kombat. Bands such as Rammstein or Korn had their hum
ble beginnings opening up on KMFDM’s tours. KMFDM took a brief hiatus in ea
rly 1999 after having recorded their 10th album for Wax Trax Records which
had run afoul in the hands of TVT Records.</p><p>Konietzko resurrected KMFD
M in 2002 on Metropolis Records with a partially new line-up that included
among others American singer Lucia Cifarelli from the band DRILL\, and Tim
Skold who later on joined Marilyn Manson. Releasing studio albums and touri
ng frequently throughout the 2000’s Konietzko and Cifarelli moved back to G
ermany in 2008.</p><p>Dozens of musicians have worked with the group across
its 25 studio albums and countless singles. Konietzko has remixed bands su
 ch as Metallica\, Korn\, White Zombie\, Front 242\, Young Gods\, Living Col
our and Megadeth to name just a few.</p><p>Critics consider KMFDM one of th
e first bands to bring industrial music to mainstream audiences\, though Ko
nietzko refers to the band's music as "The Ultra- Heavy Beat". The band inc
orporates heavy metal guitar riffs\, electronic music\, and both male and f
emale vocals in its music\, which encompasses a variety of styles including
industrial rock \, electronic body music and even reggae and dub. The band
is fiercely political\, with many of its lyrics taking stands against viol
ence\, war\, and oppression. KMFDM is known to tour after every major relea
se\, and band members have a reputation for their accessibility to and inte
raction with fans\, both online and at concerts.</p><p>KMFDM’s newest album
will be released in February 2026.</p><p><strong>I Ya Toyah</strong> is no
t a musical act\, she’s a movement. When spoken out loud in her native Poli
sh\, the words “I Ya Toyah” translate to “It’s just me.” \, and to “I am wh
o I am”. These simple\, but powerful words act as an unwavering mission sta
tement that guides every aspect of her career as a musician\, singer\, comp
 oser\, producer\, remix artist\, and performer. As a “one woman army\,” she
meticulously oversees every step of her career\; from the songwriting\, re
cording and mixing of her music\, to the programming of each and every ligh
t used in her passionate live performances.</p><p>In just a few short years
\, this Chicago area phenom has released several critically acclaimed recor
dings\, organized the creation of multiple award-winning music videos\, and
toured the United States multiple times. I Ya Toyah effortlessly combines
elements of industrial\, pop\, electro\, darkwave\, and alternative rock in
to a unique aural tapestry that acts as the perfect backdrop for her intens
ely personal lyrics\; but it’s the power and versatility of her voice that
has the music industry talking. Her potent vocal performances effectively d
eliver a message that is modern\, relatable\, and speaks to the paranoia of
everyday reality.</p><p>While she truly embodies the spirit of DIY\, I Ya
Toyah also actively embraces the collaborative nature of the industrial/dar
kwave music scene. Recent musical releases include projects with Raymond Wa
 tts (PIG\, KMFDM)\, Julian Beeston (Nitzer Ebb\, Cubanate)\, Rhys Fulber (F
ront Line Assembly\, Delerium)\, Tim Skold (Shotgun Messiah\, KMFDM\, Maril
yn Manson\, Motionless in White)\, Phil Owen (Skatenigs)\, and Stabbing Wes
tward\, whose remix of her song ‘Pray’ quickly brought her name to the top
of the Industrial Electronic charts on Bandcamp. She is also an active memb
er of The Joy Thieves\, a 50+ member super group whose roster includes musi
cians who have worked with Ministry\, Depeche Mode\, Killing Joke\, Revolti
ng Cocks\, \, David Bowie\, Machines of Loving Grace\, Nine Inch Nails\, KM
FDM\, Naked Raygun\, Foetus\, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult\, Blue Octo
 ber\, Pegboy\, Nitzer Ebb\, Die Krupps\, White Zombie\, and many more.</p><
p>I Ya Toyah is a fierce advocate for mental wellness\, as well as human an
d animal rights. Not content to simply raise awareness for these causes\, s
he has donated 15% of the proceeds from the sales of her music and merchand
ise directly to organizations such as the American Foundation for Suicide P
revention (AFSP)\, and the Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation. Most recent
ly\, she participated in the recording of a version of the Beatles’ classic
Come Together to raise funds for the people of the war-torn country of Ukr
aine. The project was arranged and mixed by legendary music producer John F
ryer\, who has worked with such seminal bands as Nine Inch Nails\, Depeche
Mode\, and Cocteau Twins. Participants included members of Faith No More\,
 Stabbing Westward\, Ministry\, Rammstein\, Filter\, THE HARDKISS\, The Joy
Thieves\, Agnostic Front\, Basement Jaxx\, and more.</p><p>I Ya Toyah is re
defining what it means to be a truly independent artist. And her message of
indomitable strength\, fierce independence\, and love for all of the livin
g creatures of the Earth is resonating with audiences around the world.</p>
 <p>Industrial rock insurgents <strong>Jesus on Extasy</strong> are back—dar
ker\, heavier\, and more relentless than ever. Led by founding member Doria
n Deveraux\, the band has returned with an uncompromising sound that pushes
their signature mix of industrial beats\, searing guitars\, and raw emotio
n to the next level.</p><p>“It looks like the world is going to hell. We mi
ght as well deliver the soundtrack for that”\, says Deveraux about the band
’s inevitable return. Jesus on Extasy made a lasting mark on the genre. Cel
ebrated by the press as a driving force in the scene\, Jesus on Extasy were
named the "New Industrial Rock Highlight" by Sonic Seducer and graced the
covers of major alternative music magazines like Zillo\, Orkus\, Gothic as
well as the French Elegy multiple times. Their genre-defying sound and bold
aesthetic made them one of the most talked-about acts in the dark music un
derground. Tracks like "Assassinate Me" and "Neochrome" became cult classic
s and the band shared the stage with the likes of Nightwish\, The Prodigy\,
Eisbrecher\, Marilyn Manson or The Birthday Massacre before stepping away
from the spotlight and disappearing into the night.</p><p>Now\, with their
upcoming album "Between Despair & Disbelief" set for release on September 1
 2 2025 via Metropolis Records\, they’re proving that this comeback isn’t ju
st a fleeting return - it’s a resurgence built to last. Following the relea
se of the singles "Wide Awake" and "Days Gone By" which gave fans a taste o
f the new era\, the band will drop the heavy-hitting singles "Soul Crusher"
(July 11) and “Somewhat Happy” (August 15)\, ahead of the album\, offering
a brutal preview of what’s to come: heavier\, more intense\, and unapologe
tically aggressive.</p><p>To mark their return\, Jesus on Extasy will be hi
tting the road as the support act for Die Krupps on their upcoming European
tour in September. Fans can expect an unrelenting live set packed with cru
shing new material and reimagined classics\, proving that the band’s resurg
ence isn’t just a return - it’s here to stay. With a harder edge and a fire
that refuses to burn out\, Jesus on Extasy are ready to leave their mark o
n the alternative rock landscape once more.</p>
